Children's National Hospital
I have led and organized an initiative to provide complimentary dry cleaning for blankets donated to the hospital. Many people are unaware that immunocompromised children need sanitized donations.
PPE Shortage
During the PPE shortage the club I founded raised enough donations to purchase fabric, elastic and sewing machines to donate over 10,000 masks to front line workers, local hospitals and the community. This was featured on Fox 5 News.
Washington DC Inner City
The organization I founded also works with local businesses to donate garments and cleaning services for the homeless and bused women. We also work with a local floral company to donate flowers from a one day event to be donated to senior centers. I coordinate pick up and delivery fron the events to the senior centers.
Food Drives
I have also led my organization to received donated canned and dry goods. We assemble these goods into grocery bags to be delivered to families affected by covid or facing food shortages.
